Celebrating Global Wellness Day with Words from our Founder, Farida Irani

What does wellness truly mean in our modern world?

As we celebrate Global Wellness Day, I find myself reflecting on what "wellness" truly means in our modern world. It is a word we hear often, but its essence is deeply personal and profound. To me, wellness has never been a trend, a checklist, or a quick fix. It is a lifelong journey of alignment. It is the conscious choice to bring harmony and joy to our physical body, mental state, and spiritual self.

To me, the true meaning of wellness is a deep harmony between the body, mind, and soul. It is about using powerful, holistic tools, like the healing power of aromatics, the stillness of meditation, and the strength of daily affirmations, to align our entire being. I am often reminded of the beautiful words of Paramahansa Yogananda:

"I am healthy, I am happy, I am positive, I am infinite spirit, I am endless bliss."

-Paramahansa Yogananda

When you truly embody these beliefs and live by this connection, you achieve a state of true wellness, both within and without.

How can daily ritual support resilience and well-being?

When I founded Subtle Energies, it was born out of a desire to share the knowledge and life-changing power of Ayurveda and Aromatherapy, not just to treat the skin, but to nurture the soul. Everything we do is created from intent, made to empower. To bring joy, sensuality, energy , confidence.

True wellness is about resilience. It is about creating a sanctuary within yourself so that you can navigate life’s inevitable stressors with grace and strength. It’s found in the quiet moments of daily ritual, the deep breaths we take to reset, and the intention we put into caring for our bodies.

As we celebrate Global Wellness Day, I invite you to pause and ask yourself: What does wellness mean to me today? What does my body, mind, or spirit need in this very moment?

With warmth and light,
Farida Irani.Founder, Subtle Energies

About Farida Irani & Subtle Energies

The brand was founded in 1993 by Farida Irani in Sydney, Australia as a clinic of natural therapies. The clinic was designed to address a complex range of health concerns with a variety of modalities offered. The clinic is still operated by Farida and her daughter Khursheed. This clinical & education background, underpins the pioneering clinical research and development of the Subtle Energies brand, allowing authentic results-based formulas and treatments to be developed.

Farida, along with her qualifications in clinical aromatherapy, aromatic medicine, Bowen therapy, and many other modalities in the complimentary world, also did her post graduate Ayurveda studies with world renowned Ayurveda guru, Prof Dr PH Kulkarni.

During her many trips to India, in the early 90s she came across essential oils not heard of in Western Aromatherapy nor used anymore by Ayurveda Doctors. With these unique oils and an introduction to many artisan distillers across India, came her research into what is now termed Ayurveda Aromatherapy.

Subtle Energies’ Spa Concept provides treatment programs that combine the optimum methods and knowledge found in these respected ancient sciences, with holistic modern techniques.

Subtle Energies is one of the first to work with these rare aromatic oils, on a clinical level in the early 90s, with a high reputation amongst the complimentary medicine, spa and wellness worlds, of sourcing the finest active ingredients and delivering powerful treatment programs.
